Send renewal reminders and overdue alerts to the workspace Owner in Slack as well as email. Connect from Integrations; message content matches Subscription notifications.

Who can connect

Owners and Admins can start the connection from Integrations. Only the workspace Owner receives Slack notifications after Slack is connected.

Connect Slack

1

Open Integrations

Go to Manage → Integrations in the sidebar.
2

Find Slack

Locate the Slack card in the integration list.
3

Click Connect

ClearSpend redirects you to Slack’s authorization screen. Review the workspace and channel access Slack requests.
4

Approve

Approve the installation. You are redirected back to ClearSpend with a success confirmation when the connection completes.

OAuth redirect

The callback URL is handled on ClearSpend’s Slack OAuth redirect page (/slack/oauth_redirect). If authorization fails, return to Integrations and try Connect again. Make sure pop-up blockers allow the redirect.

What you receive in Slack

Examples (see screenshots on the notifications doc):
  • Upcoming subscription renewals table with days until due
  • Subscription renewal overdue for a single vendor past its renewal date
Each message includes a button back to the app (for example Manage subscriptions).

Email settings still apply

Configure timing under Settings → Notifications: reminder days (1, 3, 7, 15) and overdue follow-ups. Slack does not replace email unless you turn email off; it adds a second channel for the Owner.

Disconnect

Return to Integrations, open the Slack card, and disconnect or reinstall from Slack’s app management if your admin policy requires it.
