The + Add Data Source button in the top-right is your shortcut for getting new spend into the system. It opens a small menu with three paths.
Upload a document
Drag in invoices, receipts, or statements as PDFs or images. ClearSpend extracts the vendor, amount, and date and routes the file to the matching subscription automatically when the vendor is recognized.
If the vendor is new, the file lands as an untagged document you can categorize from the Documents page.
Manual uploads are useful for one-off invoices that aren’t in your inbox or Drive. For recurring invoices, prefer email forwarding or a Gmail integration so they’re picked up continuously.
Forward an invoice email
Every workspace gets a dedicated email address. Forward an invoice and it lands as a tracked document within seconds.
If your finance team already receives invoices in a shared inbox, set up an auto-forward rule to your ClearSpend address. New invoices then flow in continuously without anyone having to think about it.
