Activity

The Activity page is a live feed of what ClearSpend is doing in your workspace — file uploads, invoice matching, new subscriptions, and grouping.

When to use it

You uploaded files and want to confirm they are processing
A sync finished and you want to see what changed
A charge still needs an invoice and you want to see match attempts
You are checking one subscription’s recent history

List vs By Subscription

Use the toggle in the top right to change how events are organised:

View	What it shows
List	A flat table of every event, newest first. Filter tabs let you narrow by type.
By Subscription	Events grouped under each subscription. Expand a row to see that vendor’s timeline.

List is best for scanning the whole workspace. By Subscription is best when you are investigating one vendor.

Filter tabs

Filter tabs appear in List view only:

Tab	What it shows
All	Every visible activity event
Subscriptions	New detections and subscription updates
Matched Transactions	When a charge is linked to an invoice or receipt
Groups	When subscriptions are merged or ungrouped
Documents	Upload and file processing events

To focus on one vendor in List view, hover the subscription name and click the filter icon. A chip like Subscription: Notion appears at the top — clear it with X.

Table columns

Column	What it shows
When	Date and time of the event
Subscription	Vendor name (click to open the subscription). Shows Document for file-only events
Entity	What the event is about — subscription, transaction, document, or invoice
Status	Short badge for the outcome (see below)
User	Who triggered it, when a person did. System or worker events show —
Message	Plain-language summary of what happened
Document	Link to the file when one is available
Amount	Related amount, when known

Sort by When, Entity, or Status. Results paginate (about 30 per page by default).

Status badges

Status	Meaning
New	Something was just created — for example a subscription auto-detected from a statement
Invoice match	A document was matched to a subscription
Transaction match	An invoice was linked to a charge
Invoice uploaded	A file was received and stored
No match	An invoice was saved but no matching charge was found
Grouped	A subscription was placed under another subscription
