KPIs include charges already in ClearSpend. Those charges come from Plaid, Xero → ClearSpend, or a statement upload (PDF or CSV). Invoice uploads and manually added subscriptions are excluded until a charge confirms them. ClearSpend → Xero only pushes charges that are already in ClearSpend, so it does not add a second total.

If KPI cards show $0 after uploading invoices, that is expected. Import a card statement (PDF or CSV), connect Plaid, or connect Xero → ClearSpend to populate totals. See How data enters ClearSpend.
Only subscription spend counts toward the KPI totals. If the type is Others, they are excluded from all calculations and displayed as a separate reference callout.Subscriptions with a blank or missing category are treated as subscription spend by default.
