ClearSpend sends three types of subscription notification emails automatically. Each email goes to the recipients configured under Settings → Notifications. If you’ve connected Slack, the workspace owner receives the same notifications in Slack as well.Documentation Index

Upcoming renewal
Trigger: the renewal date is 1, 3, 7, or 15 days away (whichever cadences you’ve enabled).
- Plan: the subscription name
- Amount: the expected charge
- Billing Cycle: Monthly or Yearly
- Manage subscription button: links directly to the subscription detail page in ClearSpend
Renewal overdue
Trigger: the renewal date has passed by 1 day and no renewal has been recorded.
- Days overdue: how many days have passed since the renewal date
- Original due date: the date the renewal was expected
- Billing Cycle and Amount: same as the upcoming reminder
- Manage subscription button: links to the subscription so you can update its status
Monthly summary
Trigger: sent at the start of each month covering all subscriptions scheduled for renewal that month.
- Subscription: vendor name
- Amount: expected charge
- Renewal Date: the scheduled date
Slack notifications
If your workspace has a Slack integration connected, the workspace Owner receives all three notification types above as Slack messages in addition to email. The Slack messages contain the same information as the emails and include a direct link to ClearSpend. To connect Slack, go to Settings → Notifications and follow the Slack connection prompt.Slack notifications go to the Owner only. Email notifications go to all recipients configured under Settings → Notifications.
