After a charge is reconciled in ClearSpend, you can push it to Xero with its matched invoice attached. The sync status tabs on Transactions show where each charge is in that pipeline. This workflow is separate from Evidence and Reconciled, which track documentation and match quality inside ClearSpend. Sync tabs track readiness and outcome when sending records to your accounting system. Today, push sync is available for Xero. ClearSpend does not replace Xero; it prepares reconciled charges so you can sync them when ready. See Xero integration.

Sync status tabs

Tabs above the table on Transactions filter charges by sync status:

Ready to Sync requirements

A charge moves to Ready to Sync when it has:
  1. A chart of accounts (GL code) assigned
  2. A matched invoice linked to the charge
If either is missing, the charge stays in Needs Review until both are in place. Reconciliation alone does not move a charge to Ready to Sync. Charges can come from any transaction source (Plaid, statement upload, or Xero). What matters is that they are reconciled in ClearSpend and ready to push.

Sync to Xero

When Xero is connected and you are on the Ready to Sync or Sync Error tab, click Sync to Xero in the toolbar. ClearSpend pushes matched invoices for eligible charges to Xero without re-importing your full transaction feed. Progress runs in the background; refresh Transactions to see updated statuses. Use Sync Error to find failed pushes and retry after fixing the underlying issue (for example, a missing bank account mapping or account code).
